For over 30 years Steven has been a leader in the Military, Aviation and Information Technology spaces. A Royal Military College Duntroon Graduate with a long list achievements and globally recognised awards, such as an ADF Chief of the General Staff Commendation, a Global BAe Systems Chairman’s Award and a Emirates Gold Najm award for Innovation. Steven thrives in driving innovation in organisations through technology, and excels at developing people to achieve outstanding results. Steven holds a Bachelor of Computing (Computer Science / Software Development) and a Master of Information Technology Leadership from Deakin University.
Steven served in the Australian Army as a Helicopter Pilot and Flight Instructor, holding positions such as Senior Flight Instructor at the School of Army Aviation and Operations Officer at the Defence Helicopter School before transferring to the Royal Australian Airforce as a Flight Instructor. during this period Steven served as airborne FAC Instructor at 77 Sqn, a F18A fighter squadron. Steven departed Australian Military service taking up a a role with BAe Systems as a Instructor Pilot for the Royal Saudi Air Force, flying low level missions and teaching weapons systems officers in the airborne environment while simultaneously holding the position of First Flying Wing Information Technology Officer. After briefly returning to Australia, Steven took up a position as Lead Instructor Pilot Training Systems at Emirates Airlines instructing pilots on the Boeing 777 and leading the e-learning team in courseware and content creation. Steven spearheaded several high-profile software development projects in his role of Innovation Lab Leader. Since returning to Australia Steven has focused on Software Engineering and bringing his significant leadership skills to bear.
